Our New Challenges Support Program is our attempt to make it easier for you to look for new opportunities once you have decided to move on from Circuit to something new, whilst also giving us time to hire your replacement.
For up to three months, we’ll continue to pay you 100% of your salary, but you can spend ~50% of your time looking for another job, interviewing and handing over your work.
We’re trying to build one of the best places to work in the world, and whilst the majority of that process involves improving what it’s like to work here, part of it includes improving how easy it is for folks to Leave Circuit too.
Deciding to leave a company can be a hard decision. Sometimes, the misalignment between what you want and what you have makes the choice clear, yet acting on it remains difficult. Even when it's about seeking new challenges rather than escaping a bad situation, the decision can still be hard to follow through.
Whether you’re looking for something in-office rather than remote, something more challenging, something less challenging, or just something different - we think this process of moving on should be much easier than it is at most companies.
Switching jobs requires a lot of time and energy, and, if you choose to leave without having something else already lined up, there is an element of risk involved too. This program is designed to remove the stress and worry involved in moving on to something new.
The New Challenges Support program is a ~3-month period during which we’ll continue to pay you your full-time salary, but we’ll only expect you to work 50% of your working week. During the other 50%, you can explore other roles and companies and attend interviews.
Your work at Circuit can be flexible around interviewing commitments, but we’ll still need to work 4 hours each day to minimize disruptions to other team members. During this period, you’ll continue to do your work but won’t start any new long-running projects so that once you find your next role, you leave on your own timeframe without leaving anything half-finished.
To minimize disruption to the rest of the team, you will work for at least four hours each day, adjusting your work around interview commitments. You'll continue your current tasks without starting any new long-term projects,
We are likely to begin hiring for your replacement while you’re still here, and in some scenarios, we may ask you to contribute to the interview process.
If you find a job and can start within the 3-month program, you can leave as soon as you’ve worked your notice period in your contract, which is 1 month. We ask that you let us know as soon as you have a start date so we can also set a start date for whoever will take over your role.
Your employment with Circuit will otherwise end 3 months after starting this program, even if you don’t yet have a start date for your new role. This is so we can offer the candidates we’ll be interviewing a reasonable start date.
If you’ve been working at Circuit for at least 3 months, you can opt into this program by letting your manager know that you’re thinking of leaving and would like to opt in.
