Our Parental leave policy is designed to support you during a significant time in your life - the arrival of a new child.

Whether through birth or adoption, we want to make sure you have the time and resources to welcome your new addition.

To us, maternity and paternity leave are the same because we believe in equal benefits for both parents.

What is parental leave?

Parental leave at Circuit includes long-term maternity leave, paternity leave, and adoption leave.

Eligibility

You can take parental leave no matter how long you've worked for Circuit.

To qualify for Circuits Parental Pay, you need to have been employed by us for at least 26 weeks, ending 15 weeks before your baby's expected due date.

Parental Leave Pay

You will be paid in full for the first 16 weeks of your parental leave. This is applicable from the date your leave starts.

You can take up to 52 weeks of parental leave continuously. This includes paid leave, holidays, and unpaid time off.

This will consist of:

  1. 16 weeks of paid leave
  2. Your total annual holiday allowance (32 days). You can do this in several ways;
  3. Unpaid leave

<aside> 🍼 We encourage you to take the entire period of parental leave to give yourself enough time for this new stage of life. We're proud of having employees with greater ownership and ambition. And we encourage you to prioritize your well-being and your family over work.

Letting us know

Please let your manager know as soon as you feel comfortable doing so, and in any case, at least 15 weeks before your leave will begin. They will inform the People Ops team, who will follow up with you.

We will also need to see proof of pregnancy (showing your baby's due date) at least 15 weeks before the baby is due so we can pay you correctly.
