The way we work at Circuit is a little different from what you’re likely to find at other companies. For that reason, your first few days and weeks may feel like you’ve been dropped into the deep end - don’t worry, though; you’ll get the hang of it.

In general, we take a low-process approach to collaboration, communicate mostly in text and async video, and give everyone a lot of responsibility and opportunity for impact.

We are transparent and honest with each other and, more generally, strive to be pragmatic about how we work, removing the bureaucracy that often plagues larger companies.

Some of the major ways you’ll see this play out that are likely to be different from what you’re used to are listed below.

🎤 We give constructive feedback often

You will receive feedback from other team members and your manager. It could help you understand how we do things or give feedback on your specific approach to a piece of work. Try not to take it personally!

Giving and receiving feedback often and in public is the best way to improve our effectiveness as a team, so we try hard to overcome the stigma that often surrounds this.

🚀 You’ll be given a lot of scope for early impact

You’ll be given big projects early on and will be responsible for anything that you work on as an individual, whether it be a project, a platform, or a system. It's totally fine if you don't have all the answers yet; we don’t expect you to nail everything on the first try, and you will figure it out along the way. Don’t worry if you get something wrong—mistakes are just stepping stones to getting it right.

Given our lean team size, this approach isn't just practical; it's necessary. It means you'll learn faster and become more adept as you go, and it’s how you’ll make a real impact from the start. So, dive in, ask questions, get started!

🏅A team of experts

We only hire Senior+ folks, which means that you’ll need to be as comfortable handling the more junior and administrative tasks as you are tackling complex, high-level challenges.

By hiring you as an expert in your field, we can give you the autonomy to work independently, which in turn enables us to build a flat organizational structure that keeps management layers to a minimum.

Giving our people problems to solve and keeping our processes light and flexible allows everyone to be creative and achieve exceptional results in their work.
